Welcome to the rich and captivating history of Diyesta

Nearly a century of Ceylon cinnamon, cultivated by one family across four generations.

Our Story

A legacy rooted in 1935

Our journey began in 1935 when the visionary Sir Sooriyarchchi (I) embarked on a daring venture, sowing the seeds of success by introducing Ceylon cinnamon to farmers across the region.

A pivotal partnership emerged in 1956 with farmer H. L. Jinadasa. Leadership transitioned to his son H. L. Ananda in 1979, who laid the very foundation that has shaped our success today. In 2008, H. L. P. Ananda assumed control, carrying the family tradition into the modern era.

Our Philosophy

We are not just cultivators — we are dream weavers

At Diyesta, we are not just cultivators and producers; we are dream weavers. Each quill of cinnamon and every sip of our tea tells a tale of tradition, authenticity and the enchanting flavours of Sri Lanka.

Each of us at Diyesta is inspired by the thought that our harvests are enjoyed by people thousands of miles away from our beautiful island. That single idea guides every decision we make — from how we nurture our trees to how we hand-roll and pack each quill.
